Meet the man behind PΔLΔCE Skateboards

As part of ASOSxVice’s new series of films hunting down painfully cool and successful young things from cities all around the world, this short interview below is one that really caught our eye. Lev Tanju is the founder of PΔLΔCE Skateboards, a team/brand that despite being just two and a half years old are already the hottest property on the London skate scene and are making their mark worldwide.

The brand, selling clothing and hardware exist in order to support financially the small but impressive team of professional skaters (including the mercurial Lucien Clarke) that Lev has assembled and that is one of the many charms of the PΔLΔCE D.I.Y. aesthetic that has no doubt contributed to their commercial success thus far. Another really eye-catching facet of this comes in the shape of the videos Lev shoots of the team, all of which are made using VHS and brilliantly edited resulting in some seriously brilliant skate videos, an example of which is below.

The bottom line however, remains that these guys are seriously good at what they do, which is re-appropriating the fruits of expansive city planning for their own jaw-dropping amusement. Now, prepare to enjoy a skating video more than you have in years.
